With a view to providing comfortable journey to the passengers during winter season and also to clear waitlisted passengers during the peak season from December’2013 to January’2014, Railways have planned to run more pairs of Special Trains from and to East Coast Railway.
East Coast Railway would like passengers to avail the services of this special trains during the forthcoming Winter Season to avoid rush in regular Mail/Express long distance trains. Passengers are also requested to avail these special trains for use of the available berths by purchasing tickets through internet or at the PRS Counters.
Santragachhi-Puri Special:
08009 Santragachhi-Puri Special train will leave Santragachhi at 1900hrs on every Thursday between 19thto 26th December 2013 and will arrive at Puri at 0415hrs on the next day. In the return direction, 08010 Puri-Santragachhi Special train will leave Puri at 1820hrs on every Friday between 20th to 27th December 2013 and will arrive at Santragachhi at 0310hrs on the following day.
This train has Two AC-3 tiers, 08 Sleeper Classes, Four General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Van in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur between Puri & Santragachhi.
