HIRAKUD EXPRESS TO BE AUGMENTED WITH ONE AC-3 TIER COACH PERMANENTLY:

With a view to avoiding rush in regular trains and to provide comfortable journey to the passengers, East Coast Railway has decided to increase the composition of Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Hirakud Express permanently with immediate effect.

18507/18508   Visakhapatnam-Amritsar-Visakhapatnam Hirakud Express via Bhubaneswar & Sambalpur will be augmented with o­ne AC 3 Tier Coach permanently with immediate effect from both the directions. Now the train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier coach, Two AC-3 tier Coaches, 10 Sleeper Class Coaches, Five General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in it’s composition.  

Similarly, 12807 Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Samata Express via Rayagada & Titlagarh will also be augmented with o­ne AC 3 Tier Coach permanently with immediate effect from both the directions. Now the train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier coach, Two AC-3 tier Coaches, Nine Sleeper Class Coaches, Three General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in it’s composition.  

Apart from this, Railways have also decided to augment o­ne AC-3 tier coach each permanently in 18509/18510 Visakhapatnam-Nanded-Visakhapatnam Express and Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Express with immediate effect.
