SPECIAL OVERNIGHT TRAIN TO BARIPADA FROM PURI VIA BHUBANESWAR

With a view to provide comfortable journey to the commuters and to avoid rush in regular trains, East Coast Railway has decided to run a Special Train between Puri & Bhanjapur (Baripada) taking into account the passengers waiting list and demand for Baripada ​direction​s​.

08492 Puri-Bhanjapur Special will leave Puri at 1945hrs o­n every Friday between 26^thFebruary to 25^th March 2016 and will reach Bhanjapur at 0300hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 08491 Bhanjapur (Baripada)_Puri Special will leave Bhanjapur at 2315hrs o­n every Saturdays between 27^th February to 26^th March 2016 and will arrive Puri at 0530hrs o­n the next days.

The Special Train has o­ne AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tiers, 08 Sleeper Class Coaches, Two Second Class Sitting Coaches and Two Guard cum Second Class Sitting Coaches having stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Soro, Balasore, Rupsa, Betonati and Baripada between Puri and Bhanjapur.​

This is a special effort by Railways to connect Puri & Bhubaneswar to Baripada based o­n public demand for comfortable mode of travel at night time linking Baripada with Bhubaneswar & Puri. It is expected that this train will prove to be popular among passengers who want a comfortable and peaceful night sleep and travel between Baripada and Puri/Bhubaneswar.
