CANCELLATION OF TRAINS FOR FOG IN NORTHERN INDIA FROM JANUARY TO MARCH 2016

Due to prediction of fog from January to first week of March 2016 and experience from previous years of fog across the country causing untold sufferings to the commuters, it has been decided to cancel some of the north bound trains originating from East Coast Railway jurisdiction.

As per the experience from previous years, dense fog continues during the period across the country and it descends more heavily in the Northern and North-Western regions of the country. Cold wave is likely to sweep through the country during the period. In view of dense fog and poor visibility which is reduced to less than 50 meters in late night & early morning hours and 150 meters in day time, train operations are badly affected every year. Not only Railway communication but also other road and air communication in northern part of India is also hampered.

The following trains originating and terminating from East Coast Railway jurisdiction will remain cancelled as per the followings:

          12807/12808 Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Samata Express via Rayagada-Titilagarh & Raipur will be cancelled from Visakhapatnam o­n every Wednesdays between 13^th January to 24^th February 2015 and from Nizamuddin o­n every Fridays between 15^th January to 26^th February 2015.

12861/12862 Visakhapatnam-Kazipet-Visakhapatnam Dakshin Link Express will be cancelled from Visakhapatnam o­n every Mondays between 11^th January to 29^th February 2015 and from Kazipet o­n every Fridays between 15^th January to 4^th March 2015.

12815/12816 Puri-New Delhi-Puri Nandankanan Express will be cancelled from Puri o­n every Mondays between 11^th January to 22^nd February 2015 and from New Delhi o­n every Wednesdays between 13^thJanuary to 2^nd March 2015.

18477/18478 Puri-Haridwar-Puri Kalinga Utkal Express will be cancelled from Puri o­n every Tuesdays & Fridays between 8^thJanuary to 26^th February 2015 and from Haridwar o­n every Mondays & Fridays between 11^th January to 29^th February 2015.

22823/22824 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express via Tata will be cancelled from Bhubaneswar o­n every Tuesdays between 12^th January to 23^rd February 2015 and from New Delhi o­n every Wednesdays between 13^th January to 24^thFebruary 2015.
